Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026  ·  Effective: March 2026

These Terms govern your use of FreWork. By creating an account, you agree to be bound by them. Please read carefully before joining.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FreWork ("the Platform", "frework.co"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use FreWork.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and FreWork ("we", "us", or "our"). By completing the onboarding process and creating an account, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of material changes at least 14 days in advance.

2. Eligibility

To use FreWork, you must:

— Be at least 18 years of age.

— Be an independent freelancer, self-employed professional, or contractor working in one of FreWork's supported disciplines.

— Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information during onboarding and verification.

— Not be prohibited from using the Platform under any applicable law.

FreWork is not open to recruitment agencies, staffing firms, clients seeking to hire freelancers, or anyone whose primary purpose on the platform is to source talent for third-party commercial benefit.

3. Your Account

Account Creation

You are responsible for providing accurate information during registration. FreWork accounts are individual — you may not create an account on behalf of another person, organisation, or as a business entity.

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at security@frework.co if you suspect unauthorised access.

One Account Per Person

Each individual may hold only one FreWork account. Creating duplicate accounts may result in immediate suspension of all associated accounts.

Account Accuracy

You must keep your profile information accurate and up to date. Deliberate misrepresentation of your skills, experience, or professional background — including during verification — is grounds for immediate removal.

4. Membership & Verification

Unverified Membership

Upon completing onboarding, you become an unverified member with full platform access. Unverified members may browse the network, initiate connections, and access basic features.

Verification Process

Verification is an optional but recommended step that unlocks the full FreWork ecosystem, including group benefits and the Verified badge. The verification process involves a professional assessment conducted by FreWork's review team and, where applicable, qualified experts in your discipline.

Verification Decisions

FreWork retains sole discretion over verification decisions. A failed or pending verification does not entitle you to a refund of any fast-track fee paid. If you disagree with a verification decision, you may appeal by contacting verify@frework.co within 14 days of the decision.

Verified Status Revocation

FreWork reserves the right to revoke verified status if, at any time, we determine that the original verification was based on inaccurate information, or if your conduct on the platform falls below the standards expected of verified members.

5. Acceptable Use & Conduct

FreWork is a professional network. You agree to use the Platform only for lawful, professional purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

— Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or professional experience.

— Harass, threaten, or abuse other members in any form.

— Use the Platform to solicit or recruit members for competing platforms or services.

— Use the Platform for any commercial purpose not expressly permitted (e.g., selling products, spamming, unsolicited promotion).

— Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, other members' accounts, or FreWork's infrastructure.

— Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data from the Platform without our written consent.

— Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringes any third party's intellectual property rights.

— Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Platform.

— Attempt to circumvent verification, security features, or access controls.

Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from the Platform, at our discretion.

6. User Content

Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit to FreWork, including your profile, portfolio projects, and messages. By submitting content, you grant FreWork a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, and use that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform.

Content Standards

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of all content you submit. FreWork does not endorse or verify the accuracy of user-submitted content beyond the verification process.

Removal of Content

FreWork reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or our community standards, without prior notice.

7. Contract Templates

FreWork provides legal contract templates as a convenience for members collaborating with one another. These templates are provided for informational purposes and general use only.

Not Legal Advice

FreWork is not a law firm. The contract templates available on the Platform do not constitute legal advice and should not be relied upon as such. We strongly recommend that members seek independent legal advice before entering into any legally binding agreement, particularly for high-value or complex engagements.

No Liability for Contract Outcomes

FreWork is not a party to any contract formed between members using our templates. We accept no liability for disputes, losses, or damages arising from agreements made between members, whether using our templates or otherwise.

8. Group Benefits

FreWork facilitates access to group-rate benefits and discounts through third-party providers ("Benefit Partners"). The following applies:

Third-party terms apply: Each benefit is subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant Benefit Partner. FreWork is not responsible for the performance, availability, or quality of third-party benefits.

Availability may change: Group benefits are subject to change, suspension, or removal at any time based on our agreements with Benefit Partners.

No guarantee of savings: Published savings figures are estimates based on individual market rates and are not guaranteed. Actual savings may vary.

Eligibility: Access to certain benefits may require verified membership status.

9. Privacy

Your use of FreWork is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By agreeing to these Terms, you agree to the collection and use of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

FreWork is a private, closed network. Your profile data is not accessible to the public, recruiters, or clients. It is visible only to verified FreWork members. See our Privacy Policy at frework.co/PrivacyPolicy for full details.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, software, design, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property on the FreWork Platform (excluding user-submitted content) are owned by or licensed to FreWork and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the FreWork Platform without our prior written consent.

"FreWork" and the FreWork logo are trademarks of FreWork. Unauthorised use is strictly prohibited.

11. Termination

By You

You may close your FreWork account at any time by contacting us at support@frework.co or through your account settings. Upon closure, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By FreWork

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time if:

— You violate these Terms or our community standards.

— We determine that your account information is fraudulent or materially inaccurate.

— Your conduct causes harm to other members or the integrity of the FreWork network.

— We are required to do so by law or court order.

Where possible, we will notify you before taking action and give you an opportunity to respond. In cases of serious or repeated violations, we may act without prior notice.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your access to the Platform will cease immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including sections on intellectual property, liability, and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.

12. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Platform Provided "As Is"

FreWork is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Platform's availability, reliability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

No Guarantee of Results

FreWork does not guarantee that membership will result in new clients, collaborations, revenue, or any specific professional outcome.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FreWork's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to FreWork in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.

FreWork is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profit, data, or business opportunity, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of FreWork shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the courts of competent jurisdiction in the UAE.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also have recourse to your local courts or the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

14. General Provisions

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and FreWork regarding your use of the Platform.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

No Waiver: Failure by FreWork to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.

Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. FreWork may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
